Or a connection to play a football game at Army? They usually play 2FCS schools a year.
Unless the roof is raised or the floor dug out, I don’t see there being enough height for a hanging center video board. I like the video boards on the ends of each side. It is much more comfortable to look at just above eye level than having to strain to look up. I hope we spend the money on a high quality video board, and not on making one work for the center. That is just me though, and I understand those that want what everybody else has.FurmanFan23 wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 2:53 pmIf it doesn't that would be a big slap in the face in my opinion. It would be a shame to have everything else but lack a hanging center scoreboard. Fu hoopla will surely agree.......
Furman playing a football game at Army has long been a wish of mine. Not that West Point is an especially easy place to which to travel.
FYI- Army has 2 FCS games this year, 1 in 2024 with 2 games TBD, 1 FCS in 2025, schedule complete, 0 FCS in 2026 with 1 TBD only future FCS after 2025 is Citadel in ‘29 and ‘33 so it seems their scheduling of FCS teams is changing, affirm wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 7:43 pmFurman playing a football game at Army has long been a wish of mine. We all know that we have someone in athletics with a connection for Furman to play a football game at Air Force. We can imagine several reasons why a game with Air Force has not materialized.
Over the past 10 or so years, Air Force has hosted the following FCS schools:
Nicholls (twice)
Northwestern State University
Colgate (twice)
Morgan State
Abilene Christian
VMI
Stony Brook
Lafayette
Northern Iowa
And over the next 4 seasons, Air Force will host the following FCS schools:
Robert Morris (2023)
Bucknell
Duquesne
Air Force obviously has no general rule that says they will not play FCS schools.
Not sure I understand what you mean where you said "so it seems their scheduling of FCS teams is changing".apaladin wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 9:29 pmFYI- Army has 2 FCS games this year, 1 in 2024 with 2 games TBD, 1 FCS in 2025, schedule complete, 0 FCS in 2026 with 1 TBD only future FCS after 2025 is Citadel in ‘29 and ‘33 so it seems their scheduling of FCS teams is changing, affirm wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 7:43 pmFurman playing a football game at Army has long been a wish of mine.
