Nah - it’s legit from …

no_reply@email.apple.com

…same address as all prior communications about subscriptions & such since 2014 - did a gmail search on it.

It’s for real.

If my memory is correct, this is a 233% price increase over 3 years.

Seems maybe the divider-in-chief shoulda been goin’ after Disney instead of, or at least along with, TicketMaster on 2/7. Reckon why he ain’t call out the mouse?

Mine increased a while back up to 9.95 a month as I pay monthly so I guess the new yearly rate kicks in when its time for renewal. Even with the increase it’s less than $8.50 a month. For what you get it’s a huge bargain. Can’t complain at all

Certainly one way to look at it.

…In the logistics world, they call something like that the ‘only a little further down the road’ trap. Failing to guard against seemingly small incremental changes leads to running out of ‘fuel.’ Consultants, similarly, are always on guard for ‘scope creep’ that can turn a profitable engagement into a financial boondoggle.

FUBeAR is starting to sense the creepy mouse is leading him a little further down the road on his way to a financial boondoggle headed toward running out of fuel.

ESPN+ includes ESPN3.

This price increase occurred months ago in October, you are most likely on a yearly subscription. It’s a bargain. I’m paying under $100month to livestream literally every sport I ever watch and all replays. And every Disney movie and show since the 90s for me and my kids. And local channels.

I remember the days of paying each freaking school website to stream some of our football and basketball games for $5+ each. Recorded with a camcorder and a drunk student commentating.

Yeah - seems the price increase for most hit a good while back. Musta been gettin’ the FUBeAR special rate up to now.

Too much of an increase though. Mouse is tryna be eatin’ more than his fair share of FUBeAR’s cheese, so FU to the mouse - gotta show him FUBeAR’s price elasticity.

Gonna cancel my Annual plan on 5/22, then re-up on M2M basis for August - November or December.

This reminds of the story that came out a couple months ago about ESPN wanting to put more money into the FCS playoffs. I wonder if this is part of the funding.

I gave it all up and switched to over the air tv almost 20 years ago, my only subscription since then was for ESPN+ for, what began as $4.99 a month, now up to $10-15, and I’m considering dropping it.

I was curious and just did the math… roughly $80 monthly x 12 months is $960 x 15 years, I saved around $14,400.

At the increase to $99.99, I dropped the annual subscription. I do pay $10.59 during the months of September to March. It is worth that to watch Paladins football and basketball. There is no reason to watch ESPN+ during the other months.
