Since we have already proven to get to the Round of 32, the obvious next goal beyond that would be a Sweet Sixteen birth

2 Staple goals that should be in place for every season of course are to win the league regular season and tourney titles, as of right now that league is the SoCon

Record crowd was achieved this year of 6,199

Passing that once again would be a great program goal to have, obviously if we could ever land a P6 to play us at Bon Secours Arena we could bolt way past that number if it was the right opponent............

Get into the AP Top 25 again would be great, but probably extremely tough to do, especially since big schools are afraid to play us..............

Winning Myrtle Beach Invitational would be a good goal to have as well I reckon...........

So that's:
1) Win Myrtle Beach Invitational
2) Win SoCon Regular Season Title
3) Get a new record crowd for a home game
4) Win SoCon Tourney Title
5) Advance in NCAA tourney, with current set goal of reaching Sweet Sixteen eventually

That was the Furman vs. Wofftard game

Didn’t the ladies team play that day as well? At the well?
Yes but they played at 3 and the men at 6. The gap between the women’s and men’s was because the Men’s game was on natiinal tv. Are you implying the women’s game helped attendance?

This sounds familiar, basically alot of these 'big boys' wear baby diapers..........

The worst part of all this is when let's say you have a Mid-Major program that's having a great year and some idiot uniformed power conference fans say things like; 'don't rank them or give them a high seed yada yada, because they played a soft schedule'

Well guess what idiot uniformed power conference fans, the big schools are the scared ones that deserve very little respect, not the good Mid-Majors..............

I would say that the women’s game there that afternoon DID help attendance. I would think that some people - FU and WC people both - chose to come to the men’s because they wanted to attend the women’s and saw it as a great opportunity, while already there, to take in the men’s as well. Admittedly, and sadly, that number of people may have been only 200 (just a guess).
Addendum: Our women’s team deserves respect and support. And our women’s team does need to improve and also needs to be better than Wofford’s, which is part of the reason our women’s team needs increased support.

Nope, was just answering a question that was asked. You seem like you already thought about that though… ;) ;)

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
