I posted this in the Bob Richey thread, but it deserves to be here too. In the discussion with Coach Richey, he states another announcement about Timmons will be coming within the next 30 days.https://www.youtube.com/live/lKhdbt9RZ54?feature=share
Guess thats a positive, but how many times has "something is coming soon" has happened?

Thought 15 April was the date... now another 15 days?
I don't think Coach Richey would have said anything if he wasn't sure of something big being announced. April 15 is within the next 30 days, so all is good. It sure would be nice to begin construction in April.
yep. call to all Dins fans.. BYOS.... bring your own sledge hammer. Couple hundred in a few hours would do the trick

Lol!
Count me in :D

3 biggest current questions:

1) How much more needed towards the $40 million goal?

2) What will capacity be?

3) Can we get some exterior and interior design photos?

I think #3 will get answered on the 15th. #1 definitely no answer, #2 possible answer.

Could be, but I am talking about 2,500 seats along with another 300 to 500 that can be there in the "social" areas, for a total capacity of 3,000.

If indeed it is a 360 arena that has been said and only 2,500 seats that means about 40 percent of seats will be in the corners and behind the basket. Currently just about all 2,500 seats are sideline. So a big reduction in sideline seats. Who would think this would be ideal? Do the students get sideline or end zone seats?

It will be a 360 deg and very very symetrical. Google "Timmons Arena" and the drawings are visible

Today Timmons is very un symetrical. With the new design, Some areas will reduce rows and some will have rows that never where there

About a week away from the reveal so hopefully all questions will be answered by then

Students will surely get sideline for visibility on TV

It seems to me that we need to get the practice facility completed before the renovations to Timmons begins. If not, where would the team practice?

We also need them harassing the visiting team by seating directly across from their bench. They add so much to the game atmosphere. We need them on the sideline.
