The Furman Board of Trustees should have a special called meeting tomorrow, 3/17/2023, to negotiate immediately a new contract with Bob Richey, in an effort to get him to keep coaching at Furman for at least another 5 years. He is in Orlando now, as are the FU President, staff members, and numerous BOT members (I hope)). Should not be difficult to get the rest of them to Orlando by 21 hours from now. Of course, we realize Coach Richey may not be available for such negotiation until numerous days or weeks from now. But the BOT needs to be ready with the offer ASAP.
