Utah Valley a projected 13 seed lost in their semis so could push FU to the 13 line. Sam Houston also lost so now they have a 3 vs. 6 final on Saturday. UC-Irvine a 13/14 seed also lost so they are out.

FWIW-Lunardi moved Louisiana up to a #13 seed. Now has Furman playing Marquette in Columbus.
Lunardi is the 84th ranked "bracketologist" out of 124. I kid you not. I was reading this from an article via bracketmatrix or somewhere. He only gets pub via ESPN. good but not the best by any means
Actually, at least for this year, his bracket predictions were really good.
1. Field 67 of 68 teams right. Only miss was Rutgers.
2. At large 35 of 36
3. Seed (+ or -) 66 of 68
4. Seed exact 54 of 68

Where are Purples staying?
Don't shoot me; I'm a DVC owner at Saratoga Springs (Disney Springs). I would burn a few nights there, but the hotel rates are surprisingly good - I'm a Hilton Honors member (grandfathered Diamond) there are many Hilton hotel options from $200 to $250 a night.

I go to Orlando a lot for work and vacation. I have a few suggestions for those not as familiar with Orlando.

Traffic. Traffic can be an issue. So plan early to get to the Amway Center - it's north of the tourist places.

Universal and Convention Center areas have many hotel options (miles to Amway from 13-15 miles).
Disney Springs has many hotel and entertainment options (bars, food, hanging out). There is an awesome sports bar here. Miles to Amway is around 19 miles.
Will be staying at the Hilton Orlando. Have stayed at the Hilton Bonnet Creek many times in the past, but Hilton Orlando is a little closer to interstate. I noticed a lot of the hotels close to Amway were pricier. Will just take an Uber or Lyft in.

Just grabbed a ticket on club level at half court. Pricey, but once in a life time.
Hopefully not once in a lifetime lol
Yes, I hope we all live long enough to travel to see Furman play the next time we get to the NCAA Tournament.
But if it takes another 43 years, then for a lot of us, this would be our last opportunity.
Go!

Seth & Jay sounded hot on FU in the program ... plus UVA's gotta be down today after falling to Duke last night. Plenty of time for them to regroup, though; it's gonna be a nail-biter.

Come to think of it, I like this 13-seed. Virtually assured of playing a P-5 that recently lost in their conference tourney.

We are going to lose.

To Alabama in the Sweet 16.
Wouldn't that be an interesting matchup, facing Alabama & Noah Gurley (who barely plays for Bama) and back in the KFC YUM Center where we already won a game against Louisville last year :D

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
