No unless they want to go to the CBI. Maybe. Don’t think the CIT exists anymore. If FU couldn’t get an invite to the NIT with a NET in the 70’s last year there is no chance this year.
That's pretty much what I meant because as you say none have a shot at the NIT, wonder if any of the teams with a winning record will bother with the CBI.
In these new days of transfers, I don't see how any team would take the risk to pay to go to the CBI. Heck, a team could commit and then lose players before the tournament. That is not even taking into considering that in the past, a coach might want to get his young team some tournament experience for the future. In college basketball, there is very little future for program growth.FU Hoopla wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 10:48 amThat's pretty much what I meant because as you say none have a shot at the NIT, wonder if any of the teams with a winning record will bother with the CBI.
This! Maybe an opportunity for a young team looking to string in a couple of more games, but it's pretty much a participation trophy kinda thing. If not in the top 100 or so, stay home and practice.
Good for them. They got a lot better toward the end of the season with a healthy Claude. Hope they rep the conference well.
