Do you remember in the offseason when many of us (myself included) weren't certain about Pegues stepping into the PG spot?! WOW - I was wrong! He has really turned it on this year. I wouldn't want anyone else in the SoCon leading our team on the floor.

Pegues will be SoCon POY before he graduates.

If he keeps his play up this weekend he could easily be Tournament MVP. That would be good recognition for him as he deserved votes for at least 3rd team All Conference. Delighted to have such a talented and well balanced team.

He has matured before our eyes. He can take it to the hoop with a quickness and elevation that few FURMAN guards have had. He is a completely different player now vs earlier in the year. 22 points today, 4 rebounds, I think 4 assists and only 1 turnover. He is maybe the biggest reason that we have improved as a team.
