I was just looking at this again and noticed the Strength of Schedule ranking of 101 for FU. Rather impressive, especially when sorting this list on BPI. Of the current top 20, only Kansas, Duke, Marquette, W. Virginia, & Florida have schedules rated as more difficult; and most of those only marginally so (91, 97, and 90 for Duke, Marquette, & W. Virginia).
I'm keeping this in mind as the guys go up against So. Wesleyan, Wednesday. As mentioned elsewhere, parity abounds nowadays and there are few easy marks. And the OOC schedule must be commended as well - it's not just because we're in a tough conference. Samford & Chattanooga have SoS rankings of 339 and 304.
So far, of course, the proof is in the pudding. Things can't be starting off any better and that would include the schedule's role in preparing the guys. Whoever is responsible, Coach BR, they done good.

SoCon just overtook the Sun Belt in Sagarin's ratings. Staying with your MAC E/W combination:

I don't know how much more we could ask for.
If Timmons is empty this season, we have to ask ourselves what the issue is...It ain't Clemson or SC...If it is, that would be ridiculous to this point.

No offense intended. In fact my point was - no matter your opinion of Timmons - imo Herschel posted one of the funniest LOL Timmons rants on the old board.
I do hope 'Fessor will agree the new scoreboards should be saved from any force majeure.
