Link to 2023-2024 rumor?
I heard sooner, possibly by conference tourney time this year
Of course we all know the rumored ECC that FU can create with teams like Furman, Belmont, Davidson, College of Charleston, ect. is the way to go

If we were, in the future, to erect a statue of Jason Donnelly on Furman’s campus…
1) Roughly, what year would it be dedicated?
2) Where would we put it?
3) What would be the 1st 3 accomplishments listed on the accompanying plaque?
Sad Din is thinking about a real jinx, such as the Sports Illustrated or Madden Football covers. Those are empirically verified.
Also, whatever the capacity:Sad Din wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2023 2:37 pmwhatever the capacity (SD thinks it will be 2500-3000) the main goal is the "wow" factor when a recruit comes out the tunnelFurmanFan23 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2023 2:00 pmUnlike Apaladin I have the opposite concern. I would much rather have a smaller arena with a more packed crowd than a big arena with empty seats. I hope that FU realizes both the benefits and negatives with the size of the new Timmons.
I don’t. Can we not have a facility at least as large as another SoCon school with half the enrollment.
Indeed, plus JD has already stated the schools intention to want to boost student enrollment size at FU
You cannot grow the program with a facility that is already outdated and undersized when it opens.
Then he needs to have a long chat with his boss. She has stated on several occasions to faculty and staff her desire to keep the enrollment low in order to make the institution more exclusive which in her estimation enable higher tuition yield per student.

This is not about baseball, let's leave that dead horse alone for now.FU3 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2023 10:37 pmUp to speed, our President has been clear on her plans and stated them openly. Personally I think it is a horrible approach. Let’s not forget how she threw our (excellent) AD under the bus when baseball was cut.The idea that she is a great supporter of sports is laughable. The University is not going to contribute a dime to Timmons. Budgets at most of our “minor” sports have been slashed.
Absolutely agree with the above. Wish I could share info but its prolly better left unsaid.
Where in the video does he mention "tuition yield"?FU3 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2023 10:56 pmAs I said, the plan is and JD emphasizes this , to increase applications and increase tuition yield. He could have simply said FU wants to increase it size by X over the next few years. That is not the plan, talk with a few faculty and staff outside of athletics at Furman if you want a clearer picture of the direction our President wants to take.
