To tell you the truth I always dread the first weekend in March after 42 years.

Even negative Furmanoid kinda feels it in his bones that this is the year. I even have a feeling we’ll win a NCAA tournament game. But I’m gonna hold off saying that we will then be the new Gonzaga. The out years look iffy. Uh oh, was that too negative?

Thats what they said after Hunter, Mounce and others left. CBR is recruiting better players IMHO and the team we see on the court now is only the beginning

I've been keeping track for awhile. I post this about every year (& add to the list, accordingly. It's getting long!):

We said that when Croone graduated. Didn’t happen.
We said that when Acox graduated. Didn’t happen.
We said that when JDIII, Fowler, Sibley, & Beans graduated. Didn’t happen.
We said that when Rafferty & Brown graduated. Didn’t happen.
We said that when Lyons graduated. Didn’t happen.
We said that when Mounce & Gurley graduated. Didn't happen.
We said that when Hunter & Garrison graduated. Hasn't happened.

Yes Folks, all of the teams referenced above turned out to be good. But NONE of them won the SoCon Tournament. And I see no reason to assume we will be better next year than we are right now. As for the "CBR" argument: he may not be here next year.

Time to stop kicking the can down the road.

Do you really think we are better than last year? Seems like Bothwell and Slawson are about the same. Hien is a little better. Who is it that is an improvement over Hunter and Garrison? I think we have taken a slight step back.

If we are really getting better every year going back as far as you’re going shouldn’t we be in the top 20 by now?

Going forward we are at the mercy of the other SoCon programs. If they embrace NIL and we don’t it will be tough to win many championships.
