Sure hope you guys get Baseball back real soon. As for an easy add for the Women, I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned Beach Volleyball. Mercer has 15 players listed on their roster. As for equipment and start-up what could be easier?
Affirm already mentioned Beach Volleyball. 2/7/2023, 8:21 AM. Pay attention.

Affirm, please just stop the nonsense, please!! If FU did as you wish there would be zero donations to athletics.

Furman could build a pretty decent team thru transfers quickly. Just ask other SoCon teams.
Since the idea of bringing back baseball is the topic of this thread, I am just telling what I believe to be the possible paths that might have to be followed in order for that to happen. Zero donations to athletics is far from being one of the paths. In fact, the necessity of more donations is one of the first paths that I mentioned.

I like the Beach Volleyball idea. To save money on uniforms they could just use a g-string and 2 purple pasties and be good to go.

Co-Ed Buck Nekkid Throw Golf would be a good add.
No real cost. No uniforms and you have to retrieve your ball from the lake on #3 before starting play. So no real equipment cost.

It is played at night on the golf course so it wouldn't compete for "court" or "field" space.
So, Night Putting would be required?
However you get it in the hole. Pulling the leeches off after exiting the lake is the biggest negative.
FUBeAR has definitely pulled off those leeches after some highly productive ball dives in that lake, but he denies night putting with the 15 year old daughter of the Dean on the adjacent 4th green.
Legend has it that a 3 man slingshot can fire water filled condoms from the parking lot at Court Ridge and hit the lake at #3, Lack of accuracy could lead to condoms hitting the #2 green.

Freshman year I would often walk from Poteat Dorm down the road by the lake and thru the woods to the 16th tee and play 16, 17, and 18 to get to the clubhouse. This was due to not being allowed to have a car.

I would often see old condoms, used for more traditional purposes, by the lake.

We had several theories:

1. They were from Furman student lovers finding a place due to the restrictions of boys not being allowed to visit the girl's dorms and vice versa.

2. They were from "Townies" and not from Furman students, as most of the Furman girls in the early 70's were not inclined to engage in that type of behavior. But fortunately there were some exceptions.

The jury is still out on that mystery. Anybody want to weigh in on this issue?

Wasn't this Thread about baseball????

Do these qualify as “Cowboy boots?”

We could work with that but the rest of the outfit would be disallowed.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
