The pyramid builders didn't have to deal with supply chain and lack of worker issues!

Supply chain, supply schmain…those pyramid-building peeps - labor & management - were dealing with REAL problems!

* blood-fouled water
* frogs
* lice
* flies
* dying horses, donkeys, camels, cattle, sheep, and goats
* boils
* hail
* locusts
* darkness
* deaths of firstborn children

FUBeAR could foresee any of those being a problem in the Upstate during the renovation of Timmons…except the dying camels; probably won’t have many of those.

The arena area will be gutted. The renovation will then be 3D printed and put together in sections with Velcro, glue, and lag bolts. Like a Tinker-toy.

18 Months is a pretty fair schedule for $40 million. Based on that dollar value I am presuming a full gut of the arena, significant foundation work for future bleachers, revised lighting, and an entirely new life safety (fire alarm, sprinkler, and security) system. Not to mention you'd probably want to incorporate at least 2+ months of cushion given supply chain delays and some extended time for dry runs and punch work to ensure everything is ready for opening day.

If this project was the size of Alley gym I could definitely see breaking ground the Monday after the last home game and having the court ready to play on by November 1, but given the need to hold roughly 4,000 people - I don't see anyone finishing this project safely in 7 months without paying substantial overtime and building a fairly similar product to what is currently in place.

If we can do without Timmons for 18 months, do we really need it?

Wait. . . I almost forgot about the Bridal Shows, High School graduations, C/W concerts, and Monday Nitro Rasslin'.
dont forget Siraz Circus, gymnastics and cheerleading meets, DII basketball conference tourneys and bake sales!

As long as they share drawings soon and maybe put up a construction cam SD would be happy
FUBeAR heard there has been a recent design delay. Seems quite a controversy has broken out with regard to the plans for the new toilets. Believe the 1st step they are employing to resolve the matter is setting up a website for public comments.

At the bank I worked at until retirement, we made fresh buttered popcorn every Friday. The smell always reminded me of the Brown Box. It never got old. This is the machine we used. https://cromers.com/collections/popcorn-equipment

You have real-time popcorn experience? We should appoint you Popcorn Czar for Timmons!

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
