Socon is gonna be wide open this year. No clear fav. Chatty is killing Sammy at Sammy. wouldnt be surprised if reg season champ had 3-5 L. after today, looks like no team will be undefeated
True that’s why blowing the WCU and now the UNCG games hurts in the long run. Moving 2 pretty sure wins from the W column to the L column will come back to haunt us in the end. Of course we should be used to that by now.

Pathetic lack of discipline! Stupid fouls everywhere!
I will be negative tonight and agree with you. We lost our composure as UNCG stayed cool the entire game. That was about as disappointing a loss as I can remember at Timmons. Full house, 13 point lead with 8 minutes to go, and we let the refs get in our heads. Plus, we just couldn't get any good shots off in the last 5 minutes. Go Paladins. Beat Chatty.

Adding, why in the world did Slawson foul that guy after the took the 2 point lead? No excuse for that foul.
As good as he was he made a lot of mistakes that cost us...but nobody else did anything offensively in the last part of the game as no one wanted the ball..like we were frozen offensively.... a tough watch...
He made several stupid fouls like that tonight. Furman turned the ball over 13 times tonight. He had the majority of the turnovers. Poor rebounding and a 7 man rotation is ridiculous. We are simply not as good on many levels as we thought we would be. The last 6 minutes and the overtime was very hard to watch. We have too many players who simply disappear from game to game. Too many to even name tonight.

Agree with all the comments. Bottom line was our offensive execution the last 7 minutes was terrible. Everyone standing around watching Bothwell or Slawson go one on one.

What happened to our free flowing move the ball around and cut to the basket offense that worked the first 3Q of the game? Why did we abandon it? Then we would go down to the end of the shot clock and take a forced shot.

Up by 2 with 14 sec. and foul in the backcourt. What a stupid-ass play.

Score tied. Both has the ball and drives (and they knew he was gonna do it) and takes shot with 3 guys on him. Shoulda kicked it out for an open game winning shot. Hard to fault Both but that's my opinion. Sometimes gotta trust your teammates.

Last part of the game it was total deer in headlights look on the offensive end. Everybody seemed to be waiting for someone else to shoot. Defensive team, defensive coach and they play good defense but its a two part game. Maddening stretches in lots of games where the other team is 20 points better.

actually the foul gave dins a chance,1st 64% foul shooter had to hit both, then worse case dins get the ball back with 14 secs either tied or down by one,

CBR didnt call time out after FTs, maybe that would have been a wise move

Ultimately it is going to come down to the tournament as always. Sure the regular season helps with seeding, momentum etc.

We seem to do better when certain players are “looking to shoot”-like Foster or Bothwell or Slawson etc. We get in trouble when no one is looking to shoot as if no one has confidence. That is when our offense freezes. Why did Slawson not shoot more in the first half or Foster the second half?

Won’t win many games with 5 bench points.

We had the ball with 50 seconds left in the half. Perfect 2 for one so worst case scenario tied at half. Instead we turn it over and get outscored 4-0 to end the half. I wish we would stop the bounce passes into a crowded lane(paint). Works every now and then but most result in a TO.

CBR Presser:
Among the things he said: we are going to get better, he is not discouraged, and the most important thing is what happens 3 days in Asheville.

That was very noticeable at times today. Passing up wide open shots especially down the stretch. Yes it always comes down to the tournament but many thought this team had a chance to be special and not just hope for a miracle in March. Possible at large, regular season champ and bid to the NIT, possible at-large to the NIT. Now all of that is off the table so here we are in mid-January and all of that is already gone and yes all that is left is the tourney and we all know how that story ends year after year. Just not good for a special team to only have left what every team in the country has left. If 20 wins is a goal that is still a possibility but we would have to win 7 of 12. Would still like to finish in the top 6 to avoid the extra game.
