UTC lost to Georgia 72-65 after leading the whole game. Fell apart the last 3-4 minutes. Ga ended the game on a 17-5 run. UTC seems to be getting better, Mercer getting better, Woffy getting better, plus others. Those that think FU is going to walk thru the SoCon are kidding themselves. Good thing is an 11-7 conference gets us to the 20 win mark and I think/hope that is doable.

Belmont blows out Sammy 79-56 at home. Still no Glover.
ETSU had a shot at the end to beat 10-1 LSU but ciukdn’t finish. 11-1 LSU has beaten 2 SoCon teams by a total 7 points. Mercer gets a good win at Troy.
Not a SoCon score but an opponent. Basketball is a crazy game. High Point lost their 3rd in a row since the FU game losing to ECU 60-49.

Mercer @ Samford. ESPNU tonight at 7:00.
Samford won at home 78-69. Both teams shot the ball very well, hitting over 50% from the floor. Many of the the stats look similar but Samford hit 57% of their threes to Mercer's 46%. Both teams played 10 players with significant minutes for some of the subs, but both teams got heavy scoring from mainly 3 guys each. It doesn't look like either of Samford's missing starters - Glover or Kaifes - is back from injury yet. Mercer's giant freshman - 7'2" David Craig - was not effective forthe Bears and was scoreless in 10 minutes. Samford's starting center - Logan Dye - scored 23 points and hit 3-4 from three point range. Both teams are now 7-7for the season. The win ended a seven game losing losing streak for Samford. It was their first win this year without Glover in the lineup.
Saw some of this game. Did they ever mention how long Glover will be out? Didn’t realize Mercer is one of the best shooting teams in the country, overall and 3 point.
FYI the UNCG/WCU is at 2pm. Others at 7.
Well UNCG just beat WCU in a bloodbath. WCU shot 12-60 in the game, including 3-29 in the second half. Looks like UNCG’s defense will continue to be something to worry about.
Not a SoCon store but watching NC State and Clempson. NC State looks horrible. Good news so does Clempson. Update 28-21 CU at half. NCST shot a torrid 21% in the first half.
