We're going to find out what most pollsters think of the SoCon this week. My worry is that people are going to continue to view the SoCon as inferior, not move us up as much as we probably should, and hammer UTC for losing to the "4th best" SoCon team.

Could see 4 SoCon teams in the 10-20 range this week. UTC, Samford, and Mercer will all likely be in that 10-14ish range I think.

18 is prolly best case scenario. I think 18-21. At least we will play 2 meaningful games to end the season win or lose at MU.

100% agree it will be telling. If UTC falls a good bit more than we rise they are just NOT letting SoCon have respect. Personally I think we should be AT LEAST 19 if you are 24 and beat the number 7 team in nation. I don’t think that’s asking too much. I am aware some if it is not isolated as in it does matter what other teams did. I if number 21 beats number 3 then they should absolutely stay ahead of us. I understand this. But just roughly if we aren’t at least 19th I’ll be peeved

Guarantee if you are 24th in FBS and beat number 7 you would make it to 16-18 range

And put Chatty at 13. Seems like he wanted to move Furman up but couldn’t until they got a big win. Also good to see him not punish Chatty too bad. He typically gives the SoCon schools more credit than most though.

That does not sound at all right.
Seems fishy.
Is this some "fraudulent poll" conducted by the Mercer football coaching staff, or maybe by some other Mercer promoter(s), so that the relative placement of Furman (#10) and Mercer (#22) can be used to incentivize the Mercer team for the next 14 days starting today.

I'm not being anti-Mercer here, but Furman and Mercer are both 7-2, but Furman has played the tougher schedule and just beat the team that dusted Mercer last week.

9, 12, 13, and 19 is ridiculous. Each of those should be at least 5 spots higher than he has them. Already ‘yelled’ at him about it and at any other voter that publishes their ballot...who irrationally downrates SoCon Teams.

They refuse to rank SoCon Teams properly which leads to no seeds and fewer at-large berths which leads to less than optimal playoff performance which leads to lower pre-season rankings…which leads to no seeds….and around we go.

If you are online, find ‘em, go tell ‘em what you think of their ballot(s) and why.

So, apparently Sagarin is the same. Correct? Which rankings are not algorithms AND also not biased or slanted in favor of (or against) certain conferences? Really wondering. Not trying to argue nor make some point.
