Call me crazy but the Big East seems like it could make sense as a destination. They need a southern footprint, have small(er) size universities, and don't have FBS football. JD - have you called your people?

In the words of some basketball coach somewhere, dream big for what we can do here!

Just thought of another for CBR - it seems like we're getting higher profile recruits on campus than in the past (recently had a couple of 4 stars that posted about it on twitter). Are we seeing increased traction with more highly regarded recruits than in the past, OR is this business as usual and social media has made that type of thing easier to find out about than in the past?

Coach Richey - When playing home games, how much does the team play off of the energy of the crowd? Are there things that you wished the crowd would continue doing that are helpful or other things that you wish we would refrain from doing, which may not have the desired affect of motivating the team.

For JD.

1. Are there any plans to update the video/scoreboard in PS? That is needed very badly.

2. Assuming the Timmons reno is dead or at least not happening. anytime soon, is the end zone building still a possibility?

3. What was the reason for moving the 2025 home date with W&M back a week? Another FBS game maybe?

1) Possibility of new uniforms?
2) Is Furman licensing apparel for fans to buy? Ex Football and Basketball jerseys?
3) Any new updates on the endzone facility mentioned in previous podcasts?

JD has already stated that the Timmons renovation is not dead and will happen sooner than later.

Must've been all JD could do to contain himself hearing Coach preach the importance of "sticking to identity" then lauding Rick Byrd of Belmont and Bob McKillop of Davidson - coaches who stayed the course at their mid-majors for 33 years and won 713 & 634 games, respectively.

Great!
At this point, I imagine that we would be very fortunate with Coach Richey for a combination of at least 7 years and and 160 wins - so 21% in terms of Byrd's and McKillop's tenure and 22% & 25%, respectively, in terms of games won.
Of course, I hope for much more than that - 33 years and 634 games would be amazing.

Liked what JD said about improving the lighting and sound systems at the Stadium.
The sound system is really bad. He did say the video board was new(2019) but its still small. Needs to be at least twice the size or move it closer to the stands.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
