That explains my question of whether we still were using the gray pants.
We have the chance today to go 6-2.

One of the interesting things this season has been the uncharacteristic penalties for Furman.

Being fair, the radio guys - I am just joining on TV - said we did fumble on our early drive (Harris?) but got a beneficial call. our guys felt we fumbled.. instead we kept ball and scored 3
But y- the overall seems to be VMI is saying "FU will have to pass to win, we are selling out on stopping the run" - cmon guys, we are playing a FOURTH string freshman QB

They reviewed the fumble call and overturned it. So, it wasn't a fumble.
We haven't established the run. We're throwing a bunch on first down. Lot of penalties. Just need to get a rhythm offensively.
I prefer mediocre football to be high scoring, at least there's entertainment.
There's pretty much no good reason for a basically healthy Furman team to struggle like this in game 8, against VMI.

very impressed with Roberto SPEED for being such a big back. SPEED - instead of 15 yards its a TD> great blocking by OL and then by WRs - BLOCKING !!

Our coaches clearly are trying to throw the ball more than they did last week. We know we can run (as evidenced by reeling off another 60 yard touchdown run).
We're up around 200 yards of offense 1/3 of the way through the second quarter.
