Joe Biden economics affects everything
Has SoCon and/or FU announced yet football and basketball will again be on espn+ this season?
I guess corporate greed has nothing to do with record profits. As the conference, the only thing I have seen so far is that all games not on Nexstar will be on ESPN3 or ESPN+.DungeonRealm wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 7:39 amJoe Biden economics affects everything

Cool that you’ll be attending the 4 Home Football games in September & October!
Yes, I will be at all of the home basketball games and many of the away games. I will be at the football games too. But, I will probably only pay for + during the months of basketball. See you there!FUBeAR wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 12:17 pmCool that you’ll be attending the 4 Home Football games in September & October!
Very impressed that, during those same 2 months, you’ll be attending the Away Football games at Clemson, ETSU, Charleston Southern, The Citadel, and VMI!! 2 trips to Charleston & a long one up to VMI. Roundball is a real FU Sports Fan!!!
Not only that but can watch, keep up with all the other SoCon teams not to mention teams across the nation.Davemeister wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 10:09 amCorporate greed? ESPN is owned by Disney and Disney is a "woke" company, so you're not supposed to say that! Anyhow, FU football & basketball telecasts for $9.99 a month is still a great deal.
Only thing FUBeAR “called out” was admiration for your dedication as a Furman Sports Fan that you won’t need to subscribe to ESPN during Sept/Oct cuz you’ll obviously be attending, in person, all 9 (4 Home / 5 Away) Furman Football games that will be played during those months.Roundball wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 12:58 pmYes, I will be at all of the home basketball games and many of the away games. By the way, the oil companies have reported record profits, as have many of the big Fortune 500 companies. I am all for profits, but we just need to blame inflation on supply and demand, big spending from both sides in D.C. and big business.
One more thing. The point of me bringing this up was to simply point out my stupidity for buying into the annual subscription when I only watch it for 8 months out of the year. Being on a fixed income, I don’t need to be wasting money. I only wanted to point out to everyone that the price was increasing substantially. I had no idea that someone would throw politics into yet another conversation. I know, I am guilty of doing that too. I commit to trying to do better with keeping politics out of a thread about our Paladins. Thanks to all for calling out my foolishness. I need that reminder.
It is difficult to know when you are being serious or being sarcastic. No one, and mean no one, can come close to the level of commitment that Flagman brings to Furman sports.FUBeAR wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 1:18 pmOnly thing FUBeAR “called out” was admiration for your dedication as a Furman Sports Fan that you won’t need to subscribe to ESPN during Sept/Oct cuz you’ll obviously be attending, in person, all 9 (4 Home / 5 Away) Furman Football games that will be played during those months.Roundball wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 12:58 pmYes, I will be at all of the home basketball games and many of the away games. That’s near-Flagman-level of commitment to Furman Sports and certainly deserves special recognition!
Don’t you think?
Not sure who came up with being a Furman fan = being a fan of every sport. Do you think the fans of the baseball program are now fond of the others? Does FuBear attend the volleyball, cross country, soccer, and golf matches? I’ll admit I watch much more basketball than football, but I cheer for all Furman sports to do well. What’s wrong with that?Roundball wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 4:18 pmIt is difficult to know when you are being serious or being sarcastic.
