Hopefully we will plan to host Missouri Valley Conference member Belmont at 'The Well' downtown, that could be fun!

I don't think we owe Charleston a game down there, think we already finished that home and home.

I am sure we will be looking to add 1 or 2 more Power 6 type teams to the schedule as well, just not sure who yet.

Also not so sure we will play Winthrop next year, think that series finished, unless we sign a new contract, but I could be wrong

DR- I think you’re right about owing Charleston so I took them off the OP. We played at Winthrop 2 years in a row so they could owe us a game. If it was a 2-1 with 2 in RH then its done.

Yeah true you're probably right Winthrop must owe us a game in Gville

So do we try to schedule as many big boys as possible or make the schedule somewhat easier than going that route?

Schedule as many big boys as possible. Enjoy the journey don’t worry about the destination. For example IMHO I would rather play a big boy on the road than PC at home, nothing against PC.

Yep indeed, beating one 'Big Boy' gets you more attention than beating 30 PC's of the world

If you lose to those guys it doesn’t matter. We have to win the tournament anyway. We could end up with ho hum record, but it doesn’t matter.

True to a point, NCAA no but a really good record can get you an NIT bid. 2 or 3 more wins this year and we are in, no doubt. BTW it’s sad that this is the last year that MSG will host the finals of the NIT after hosting forever.

I like playing Big Boy Ball, especially in March.

My goals for 2022-2023 in chronological order:

1) Win the Regular Season Title.

2) Win the SoCon Tourney.

3) Win at minimum one game in the NCAA Tournament.

The Math: Win + Win + Win = Success.

We need the right mix of PC’s and UNC(CH)’s and UGA’s and Davidson’s which would be about one-fourth of each type.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
