This looks about right to me. The only surprise is Chattanooga rated so low. Usually, they reload with transfers and are formidable.

Would not surprise me if Citadel sneaks in there at #5. Agree on top 4. Gonna be another interesting year in SoCon.

The Paladins will be competitive, and I expect them to be in that top 4. If things go well, players continue to improve and we find a good rotation, we may surprise a few,

All of the preseason rankings I've seen have UNCG at #1 and Wofford at #2. ETSU and Furman usually #3 and #4. There is one that has Samford #4. The rest of the conference is a mystery.

Mercer, Chattanooga, and Samford have had massive player turnover due to graduation and transfers. The Citadel should be in the middle and I think Mercer and Chattanooga will be too by the end of the season. Samford, Western Carolina, VMI - I just don't know.

I'm sure you would. But, you will get nothing out of me other the satisfaction of being right. I stand by my prediction.

(On the other hand this puts me in the unenviable position of becoming a temporary Citadel fan. I'm not up for that!)
