Justin appears to be very comfortable behind the mic. Not always an easy thing for a head coach much less an OC.

A lot of things Justin said stood out to me; the focus on execution first, putting talented players in a position to take advantage of their talent, using the spring to find the edge of players' capabilities, and who can rise above. I'm not a genius for saying this but spring ball is going to be interesting to watch.

He sounds good to me. He is going to identify the 2 or 3 game changer guys we’ve got and come up with ways to get them the ball. Doesn’t seem to be married to any particular offense, just whatever works with the guys he’s got.

It also sounds like he will put a premium on versatility when recruiting. If you get excess qb’s and rb’s who are willing and able to play WR or even LB, you don’t waste scholarships. Usually if you get a HS QB or RB, you’re getting the best all around player on the team. But often they get overlooked in favor of db’s and wr’s just because of the position they’re stuck playing. Hope this fellow thinks outside that box.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
