Did he really just say capacity crowd? Wofford math.
Usher told us when we took our seats that it was a sellout. Yep, Wofford math. Great Furman crowd. Leaving was easy. The Wofford fans left early. Kudos to Furman for passing out free tickets to students.

We moved from 102 to 78 in Ken Pom. Having followed Ken Pom for many years that’s an almost unprecedented move. We are also now 8th in the country in 3 pt shooting %.

Prolly was a sellout but like at FU a lot of no shows. Looked like people were standing. Lots of empty seats around half court. Season ticket no shows.

That is a big change. Margin of victory seems to be a bigger part of Pomeroy's ratings compared to others. It is also possible that the teams have connected. Pomeroy includes last year's results until all of the teams in D1 can be connected with each other by a string of scores. That usually happens in mid to late January. There is often a noticeable shift in rankings when that happens.

Wofford fell from around 103 to 115.

Great to see so many guys playing well the past couple of games. If Hunter, Bothwell and Garrison had been shooting a bit closer to their averages this could have been a 40 point margin.

WC was #94 so they fell 21 spots.

That dunk by Slawson was thunderous. Not to be overlooked was the play after that when Slawson hustled down on defense to block the Woffy shot. That sequence set the tone for the rest of the game. Great defense, crisp passes, offensive rebounds, and good shooting. The key to our great games always begins and ends with the defensive intensity. We can beat anybody with play like that. Let’s start with a beat down of VMI. Should be another good game. We sure need to fill up Timmons. This team deserves a full house. I have to add, go Woffy, beat Chatty.

Remarkable improvement. Just after our VMI loss Ken Pom had us at 121.

Impressive, too, is our balanced scoring. Over the two recent blowouts, we have six players relatively close to one another: Slawson with 21, Hunter with 19, Garrison with 15, Foster with 14, and Anderson & Hien both with 12. These in addition to Bothwell's 41 and the emergence of Pegues with 26.

CBR has developed his instrument: a truly multi-faceted threat.

Team rankings this morning has FU as the #90 team, Projected finish at 22-9 and SoCon 14-4. They have FU with a 34% chance of making the tournament and if they do they are projected as a 12 seed.

The Wofford game was what we can do on a given night. It 100 % starts with defensive intensity.

The good news is we have multiple folks who on a given night can knock down the 3 with the emergence of Pegues and Foster and Anderson. Thus when Hunter and Bothwell and Garrison are off, others might step up.

CBR says SLAW is a 40 % 3 point shooter and I agree. He needs to shoot a few more 3’s IMHO. That would also help open up his drives.

We can be a really good and dangerous team. The emergence of other players I think will help us grow in our CONSISTENCY and cut down on any offensive lulls.

Wofford really struggled on offense against our defensive intensity.
