I agree. Also, it shouldn’t be discounted that the regular season champion gets the best game times, starting with a noon game on Saturday, and the earlier game time on Sunday. Those extra hours of rest add up over a long three day tournament.
I'm aware of all of these...and appreciate them as much as the next person.
