Team rankings jumped FU from #103 to #70. Guess Pomeroy wasn’t impressed.
One game doesn't have enough weight in the formula to move things too much. The Paladins weren't even that big of underdogs really . . . it's only the 13th biggest upset of the year per Pomeroy and teams just started playing. In a few weeks it will be out of the top 100.
Plus, keep in mind that margin is the main factor - beating the spread by 16 against Radford is the same as beating it by 16 against Louisville, more or less. Obviously one result is much more exciting than the other from a fan perspective.
Belmont is really good, this is a super tough game . . . especially with Belmont having a star senior center, 6'11, 245. He almost never gets into foul trouble, so will be interesting to see how the Paladins go after him on offense and defense.
