Its all on the offense for sure. Still we get within one score and we give up points their next 2 possessions and we’ve run 3 plays in the meantime. Granted the D has agan played winning fb and the offense has not. Still regardless we have had to have a stop 4 times in the last 2 games. The D 0-4, mainly because third and long is a layup for the opposing O.

CCH pregame comment. I watched the tape of the spring game with utc and we are so much better now than we were then.

Fourth and 5 down by 10 and we punt. Great effort by our D was wasted… again.The O scheme and play calling was awful in the spring but it was a weird season so I really thought we would adjust in the off season.It is painfully obvious we didn’t do squat to make it better in the summer/fall. Our D will keep us close the rest of the year .. hope we can win a few games, this team has played hard all season and deserves better.
He already said that a couple of games ago...no answer to this problem...we will see more of this the rest of the season.
Top tier defense + gosh awful offense = mediocre results. 4-4

This was truly a sad thing to watch and listen to. Very few fan bases will stick around for efforts like this one. No fan base will grow. Make changes or say you don’t care about Furman football but please don’t pass this off as a rebuilding year or wait until next year prognosis.

and the "4 completion rule of AP" (he posted how we couldn't win with 4 completions a few weeks ago) is proven... we went 4 -14 -1 4 completions and one INT. W O W 4 pass completions?? They caught 25% as many of our passes as we did. Good grief man - OC better get some shizzle together.

Doesn't matter - for those that say UTC has no offense here is the final total:
Furman - 157 yards TOTAL (about the worst I have seen from us in 25 years)
UTC - 400+ yards . It seemed they had less because it was a 'slow ' game but they almost tripled us in yards.
And again - yards per rush attempt
UTC - 45 rushes, strong 5.4 per attempt, 245 yards total rushing
FU- 29 rushes, 3.8 per attempt, 110 total rushing yards.
*I still think we need 150-200 yards rushing per game to have a good chance in most games. We have rushed for 75 v ETSU and 110 v UTC.. both losses.
I have hope for the remaining 3 games as I think UTC is basically a better team than the last 3. And I think we can get more on the ground vs some of these last teams
