Watched the etsu/wc game which came down to explosion plays. Both teams exhibited the ability to have explosion plays that CCH talks about but we rarely see from the dins. I can see WC hurting the Paladins on the option and via the pass. Has FU had an explosion play since the first game? This game could very well depend on a couple of explosion plays from WC.

Nearly 40% of Wofford's offense Saturday came on two plays - a 47 yard run and a 43 yard pass.

Wofford did not have a scoring drive longer than 3 plays and all of their scoring drives began in plus territory. The Terriers didn't have a drive longer than 5 plays until late in the 3rd Q.

Furman is going to have to tackle better than they did against Mercer. Our offense is going to need to put us in a position where we don't feel like going down 7 is a massive hill to climb.

Woffraud is the beige Team of the SoCon. FUBeAR thinks that’s the color of their helmets also.

Beige - they don’t do anything particularly well, but they aren’t completely awful at anything either.

Just running thru the NCAA FCS Team Stats & Woffraud’s rankings…Looks like they do a good job of avoiding penalties. FUBeAR imagines that Uncle Jerry’s regular drop-in’s or maybe ‘drops’ at the SoCon office in SparkleCity always ensure that positive stat for the Tearyers. Pretty good in KOR’s. Let’s help them get a lot of those reps on Sat., while crushing down their average. Those are the only 2 things that separate them positively. They have a few areas where their results are pretty poor (bold italics - well, they would be, but that function is now ‘acting up’), but, overall, just very beige. If there was a more beige shade of beige called Pedestrian Beige, that would be the perfect primary color for Woffraud Football 2021.

Found it…the top part of this pic is a swatch of “Pedestrian Beige” for an access mat. Absolutely perfect. When I look at this, the single thought that comes into FUBeAR’s brain is … “Woffraud Football 2021”

Pretty close, huh?* This was the pic they used for their ‘Opt Out’ press release in the Spring. Foreshadowing of more beige to come.

*Note - FUBeAR is somewhat color-blind, but he sees what he sees & when he sees Woffraud Football 2021, he sees Pedestrian Beige.

Woffraud's game notes say their colors are gold and black. They need to edit that.

Speaking of colors. Don't want to see no gray pants Saturday.

Or jerseys. All white. Wouldn’t mind purple helmets.

Yea. Wofford had NO THIRD DOWN conversions. And 21 points! That is wacky. 0-9 on third and fourth down yet 21 points. They were a few explosions as Jackal said. Tackle !!!!

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
