Not sure I know anything about Cornell, but this is their home opener. Hopefully VMI can get a win against an Ivey opponent.

KSU and Wofford have matched up a bunch recently. KSU opened the season against down division Reinhardt (usually a good program), and had trouble putting them away, only winning by 10. The Owls then got beat soundly by a not-very-good Georgia Tech team.

That'd be a nice win for the SoCon. It would help keep Kennesaw from lurking on the outside of the playoff conversation as an at large. I don't think we know much about Wofford yet.

The Citadel has looked awful so far, but hopefully they can manage against North Greenville. ETSU should handle Delaware State.

First conference game of the year is WCU/Samford in Cullowhee. Samford had a good opener and looked bad last week against UT-M. Not sure we know much about WCU yet.

KY 14 Chatty 13 after 3 Q.

Alymm Ford is the real deal.

UTC may lose, but they are as good as Kentucky. This isn’t a fluky kind of game. It is starting to look like the SoCon is as good as the bottom SEC teams. That’s just crazy.

I think the issue with UTC isn't their running back, they just can't seem to get consistent at QB.

Right now it doesn’t matter. They are running all over Kentucky. The passing game has been hindered by drops and just now a lucky deflection that prevented the go head TD. So they settled for a go ahead field goal.

Terrible decision by the Copeland.

UTC just did the one thing FCS teams cannot afford to do - make a critical error late.

They should have stuck with the ground game. Stupid Stupid Stupid throw by QB! Stupid play call!

On the downside, the Mocs finally realized who their best QB was (and it wasn't the guy they had been playing)

I'm a little uneasy that UTC has yellow numbers on the back and front, and blue on the shoulders.

The Chattanooga coach is a real piece of work. I’ve witnessed him getting in the face of his coaches, grabbing his players by the jersey, screaming at them. Totally uncalled for. What an a**.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
