Nice!! Thats the second Friday night home game. 7 more to go. Have to wonder if the ASU game might be at the well.
BTW the season starts on Nov. 9th this year. Sure would be nice to see an updated roster on the official site,
Yes!
Super!
(And thanks for the Nov 9 info.)

Sweet. We can grab as many wins n the last 60 years or so in Chapel Hill as Climpzun.
Win??
We’re thrilled to just get to go and play our once in 40 or so years game against UNC
Bullshit. At this stage of the game we should be expecting ton win not “thrilled” just to be invited.

In your dreams.
And we should always be thrilled if our OOC schedule has
any program on it like UNC-CH.

Agreed...Furman should show up expecting to win...It expected to beat Loyola Chicago and Villanova in 2018-19...It's college basketball, not the Harlem Globetrotters road tour.

Glad for the players to be confident. Highly doubtful for many Furman fans or college basketball fans nationally to be expecting a Furman win.
I say again, it is a thrill any time we can have them, or Kentucky, or Kansas, or UCLA, or Temple, or Duke, etc., on our schedule.

You must have quite a collection of participation trophies on your shelf.

What y’all are trying to say is we are not Wofford so we should not expect to win as they did.

Would you also say Furman Men’s Basketball must have quite a collection of SoCon Tournament participation trophies on its shelf for the last 40 years.

Not “a thrill”

Is a tremendous opportunity.

Expect to win or don’t dress out / show up.

That’s the post.

I expect this Coach Richey led team to beat UNC, or any team they play. If I didn’t expect a win, I would give up my support of the team.

No. SoCon Tourney doesn't give out participation trophies.

Gardner-Webb beat Kentucky.
UMBC beat Virginia.
Mercer beat Duke.
Coppin State beat South Carolina.
Santa Clara beat North Carolina.
Belmont is 1-0 against North Carolina.
Furman beat North Carolina in 2 consecutive years.
Furman beat Villanova.
Furman beat Loyola-Chicago twice.
Etc.
Unexpected things are possible.
I realize all those above winners (players) expected to win.
Most observers do not and will not expect Furman to win at UNC.
I am glad if the team expects to win, and I will be “more than thrilled” if Furman does win.
Anything is possible.

That’s a good thing for Furman’s men’s basketball small “trophy case”.

Anybody know of CofC returning the game we played there last year on short notice? Thought that was supposed to be home and home. Could be a real good game with Pat Kelsey at the helm. That would give Furman 4 decent home games so far. Much better than the usc upstates and Gardner Webbs of years past.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
