Feb. 27 - VMI
Maybe we will settle down now. We can run the ball. We just aren’t running against air like last week so we get stopped for 2 or 3 sometimes. QB is very shaky but has made a few really good plays to go along with some really bad ones. Center has goofed up twice. But centers have a way harder job anybody realizes so I’ll cut him some slack.
Looking forward to our first FG attempt. That should be interesting. 
Let's hope the lines can play a little better in the 2nd half. Sission was running for his life, little room up the middle and they seemed to have all day to throw. That all said, we're winning.

The field conditions suck and VMI is fired up. They are getting after it and we still have the lead.
Last year's game was close at the half and Furman won by 35 or something. Furman will make adjustments. We get the ball back to start the second half.
I think we've seen what VMI's offense has - curls, hitches, and flare passes. They have not yet demonstrated much of an ability to run the ball against our front (I think they have like 12 yards).
The offensive line is having a tough day to this point, but sometimes that takes halftime adjustments to sort out what everyone is seeing. VMI may be attacking us in a way we were not expecting.
I think you started to see later in the second quarter our offense start to get back up to speed. Just need to keep playing our game and force VMI to drive the field on their offensive possessions.
The goal isn't to win sexy. The goal is to win.

To Hell with FG’s. We can just 3 yards and a cloud of mud it down the field every time if we want to. But it don’t look like we want to.
The problem is that playing like this will result in losses against even a decent opponent. Maybe you've already forgotten what happened in 2019 when the Paladins did fine in SoCon play and then were exposed in the playoffs.

Love the int. Let's go O. Coach needs to make some serious changes to what we're doing or we're going to need a new QB.
