I'm bored and want to have some fun so I'm going to watch the replay of the Bellhops and Yardyappers.

Watched the replay of the Citadel/Wofford game last night. Wofford led 33-17 with about 6:30 left in the first half. Cit came back and closed it to 4 at the half.

Citadel shot the ball really well from 3 and also made a lot of easy baskets around the rim on back cuts. Woff shot poorly especially in the second half.

Cit played well together. All 5 starters contributed and so did a couple guys off the bench. Rice and Brown were very good.

This won't be the last team that the Bellhops beat.

Not SoCon but interesting. Winthrop is no longer undefeated they lost at home to UNCA 57-55.

WCU beat Citadel in the whee this afternoon 76-75 on a contoversial non goal tending call at the buzzer.

I'm not sure how these officiating crews still have jobs. I turn the WCU/Citadel game on at the end. Nail biter. Terribly missed travel call on WCU. Blown charge call in favor of Citadel. And then an atrocious no review at the very end of the game on what could have been a game winning goal tend. Ugly.

I watched the second half and the replay (3 times) of the "controversial" call at the buzzer. That was not close to being goaltending. The ball was still on the way up. But, it still should have been reviewed.
Update. Unless the rules changed this year, goaltending is not a reviewable play. Under Article 4 of the instant replay rules dictates that, “the officials shall not use such available equipment for judgment calls such as: b. Determine whether basket interference or goaltending occured.”

Why have a review system that can't review some plays but not others? The whole system is a joke, but if you can review if a guy was behind the 3 point line, seems reasonable to be able to review a goal tend. Also "that was not close to being a goaltending" is factually false. It was pretty darn close to a goal tend.

I agree, if they had called goal tending, no argument here. It was very, very close and the ball looked like it had reached its pinnacle.

Sounds like the kind of call that gave VMI a victory over the Paladins. A call that should have been a no call.
