Coach said on post-game we had a poor shooting night but lost the game by playing poor defense esp the last 30 minutes of the game.

Zone was packed in which led to a lot of perimeter shots. We just didn't make them.

bench might have played better. power move would have been to play pugh in place of mounce. although they were killing us off the boards. Not having a timeout at the end probably hurt too.

The last shot was a joke. 3.2 seconds is plenty of time to get the ball up the court(1 or 2 passes)and get off at least a decent shot. Do we not practice that situation?

watched the replay in slow mo. Bothwell got all ball.

Plus every ref know you dont call the foul at the end of the game like that. Might have been a make up call for the 3pt foul at the other end which was a gift also

We proved tonight we are PRETENDERS not cntenders. Refs were a joke, yes, but it should not have come down to that.
This loss puts us minus one to everyone else because VMI will not beat WC, ETSU or Uncg.

another question.. coach went to man to man press on the last play. didnt let the D setup especially with a smalled quciker guard.

I was dumbfounded by that as well. I was also disappointed at the lack of any offensive strategy in the 2nd half. All we can do is launch 3’s unless the other guys overextend their defense. VMI decided to let us launch those 3’s. I’ll admit I am surprised to see that we really aren’t all that good. I was just starting to believe, but you can’t lose to those dorks. They’re awful.

Back door cuts were few and far between. Lets face it we have won some games but have not been impressive at all unless you want to count the close loss at UA, which I do.

Certainly just seemed like we couldn't throw it in the ocean tonight. I think we got good looks, the ball just didn't go in the hoop in the second half.

In the Pac12 I just watched 1-11, 0-7 Washington beat 11-3 5-2 Colorado. Crap happens. Does it make me feel better, No.

Won’t win any close games when opponent makes 7 of their last 8 shots including 3 3’s.

Funny how against ETSU we stepped up at the end but did not do that today.

Disgusting for Slawson to get final rebound but apparently have no clear outlet pass. We could have still won the game like Wofford did on a last second 3.
