Besides purchasing the tickets for the 4 games at the Well, how would one be able to attend a men's or women's game at Timmons. Have the games at Timmons reach the max capacity allowed because of covid? Input would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Good question. As a longtime season ticket holder I have heard zero about ticket availability at Timmons.

Attendance is limited at 250, per the original announcement, which means mostly parents and friends. I was lucky get a ticket to a game because of being a Roundball member. However, that was a weekday afternoon game against S.C. State right before Christmas. I felt lucky to be there. I will never take being a season holder for granted again. Go Paladins!

We are still in phase 2. https://furmanpaladins.com/news/2020/11 ... -plan.aspx

I have likewise been able to attend, which I also attribute to my Roundball Club membership.

If you have a question about availability, I suggest you contact Dwight Covington directly.

I have also been fortunate to attend games at Timmons. Spoke with AD Donnelly about possible scenarios when the students return to campus. He said it's a very fluid situation right now and is reviewed weekly. One possible plan is to a have a "student only" game. We apparently are trying to be very creative.

The basketball band was told that they will play for four games. This is from the email I got- “The band will only perform for 4 Saturday games downtown at "The Well" this year (1/16 and 23 and 2/6 and 13.) We will be assigned to an entire section on our own in the arena, and strict Covid protocols must be followed by everyone in attendance.”

Great news. I love it when the pep band is at the games.

Well, sadly the band was notified that they will NOT be at any of the games... the administration changed their mind. Unfortunate :(

This is consistent with moving the Well game back to campus. They did not want students (or staff) attending that game given Gville’s status as highest incidence per capita of COVID in the US for a city it’s size.

I have also been told off campus activities have been cancelled for several weeks for the same reason.

I am thankful that good choices are being made by the administration to take care of our students. We need to be prepared for losing the other games at The Well. Whatever it takes to help stop the spread is doing what is best for our community.

Just wondering if the ETSU game will be played Saturday? ETSU canceled both games last week and have canceled Wednesdays game. I say canceled instead of postponed because I do not believe the SoCon will make any efforts to reschedule games.

Where did you see cancelled?
The ETSU official website says postponed, the ETSU fan message board has no comments about cancelled, the SoCon offical site says postponed.

As I remember the schedule, there's little time to play postponed games between season end and the tournament. Perhaps they'll play the postponed games instead of holding the tournament and use winning percentage to determine the conference champion. Remember, we're talking about the SoCon.
