So, is this an endorsement by coach Richey and others at Furman of the group Black Lives Matter?

It’s an endorsement that black lives matter. “FU all the time against racism.” Don’t you agree?

"Do you see me differently now"? My answer was no every time. I don't see color and don't run with folks that do.

Ask those students what they think of your statement.

Plenty of materials in the below Google search for you to read and educate yourself.

Absolutely outstanding video by the way.
How arrogant and dismissive, not to mention the audacious presumption to 'educate' someone on his own beliefs. WOW!

I can’t really figure out what the video is trying to say. It seems to say, “Look at us. We are way more privileged than most black kids.” Or in a couple of cases “Hey, I actually have a major” as though that should be surprising. I found it actually a little elitist in a “talented tenth” kind of way which might be why a couple of the guys looked pretty uncomfortable doing it.

How typically arrogant and dismissive to consistently tell people of color how they should and shouldn't feel about race and color.

I don't think it's rocket science. It's implying that black people are often stereotyped as not smart or not driven or dangerous. And that many people when they hear a laundry list of academic or in the community accolades assume that the student is white. This video flips that racist and stereotypical narrative on its head.

I didn't say that. How many lies do you post in one day?

You said and I quote "I don't see color," which is another way of telling people of color that you don't see them and don't hear their stories of vile racism for 400 years. I hope you'll choose to read at least one article that I sent in that Google search to understand where they are coming from. I used to think exactly like you, probably 5 years ago or less. And then I opened my ears and started listening to lived experience. Changed everything for me.

"I don't see color" means to me that Tim judges people by the content of their character and not the color of their skin. And I don't think he needs you to tell him what articles to read.

Let’s ask a person of color what “I don’t see color” means to them.

Did my assigned reading. Not much substance there. But there is a legitimate financial incentive for some people to oppose a color blind society. The articles I read just wouldn’t come out and say it.
