Goodness, Samford is plain awful. I suspect they need to go in a different direction this offseason.

VMI up 52-30 at half!!! ETSU will need to be ready tomorrow. Keydets shot 50% from field and 55% from 3 in the 1st half.

Wow...I was pulling for Samford because I thought they stood a better chance to upset the Bucs, but if VMI can keep shooting like this they are going to be a handful.

On a given day anything is possible. The crazy thing is you have no idea how VMI will play tomorrow BUT they have played well against the big 3 the last portion of the season. They also came out hot tonight.

Nothing but a scrimmage for Wofford. Shooting 60 % from field and 56 % (9 for 16) for 3’s at half. Ten players played so they will be well-rested and gained some confidence. A scrimmage in Asheville. Wofford up 51-32.

Wofford was up at half by 19 and won by. 17. They hit 16 3’s.

They looked slightly shaky a time or two in the second half but were bailed out by 3’s. We need to bring our A game tomorrow night.

ETSU won fairly easily minus a mini run towards the end. VMI could be decent next year if they can keep players from transferring.

Western on to the semis with a convincing win over Mercer. No super competitive games through 4 played so far. Hoping that trend continues for the Paladins. I think Western could beat ETSU tomorrow and make it to finals.

Anyone who poo-poos this arena doesn't have small children. No restrictions on strollers or bags. A virtual kids raceway with a full view of the court. If your toddler wants to wander aimlessly, just follow around and around the general admission area and not miss any action. Plus the concessions are way, way better than BSWA and that includes the beer selection. Plenty of space between you and the seats in front of you. Plus, there's a much more communal feel. Everyone talking to each other. Good restaurants within walking distance. Hotels within walking distance. Just like Asheville as a whole and Greenville as a whole, this arena has much more character than BSWA. Leave the tourney here.

I hope UTC wins tourney, gets 15 seed, and ETSU makes it as an at-large 12 seed in Dayton. Will not pull for Wofford under any circumstances.
