Isn’t this the “official”poll?

Article states that Furman opens at "FCS power Clemson". CU would prolly do pretty good in FCS. Obviously the G-News has a hard time keeping their FCS's and FBS's straight.

Great to be starting the season in the Top 25!
Yes ! This REALLY helps. If you are sweating an at-large big (as we all watched last year) ... these polls matter. There is no denying that. What stinks is we are borderline' as in 23rd and 20th and we open w Clemson... It would really help to beat Elon. 0-2 would be out of the poll and in ORV right off the bat. Beating Elon would go a long way. 3-2 would be ok but 4-1 with only a loss to Tigers would have us in the meat of the poll.. 15 or so ?

Using STATS, we have Clemson.. but then Elon is number 12, Colgate about 37th or so and Western about 42nd if I counted correctly - so lots of opportunity. Only ETSU - in our first 5 games - is not receiving votes.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
