Is it an understatement that this is the biggest regular season game FU has played in many many years especially this late in the season? I really don't remember an opportunity to win the regular season without any help with 4 games to go.

I don't think it's an understatement at all, at least in my limited 7-yrs with the UFFP. At this point last year - our best season in a long while - we'd already suffered four conference losses.

I'll go farther and say that this game is all upside for us. Coming out of Johnson City with a narrow loss will still have us well in the hunt. But oh, my the momentum we'll have if we can leave with a W.

Wednesday's game must not be a big deal to ETSU fans. Not even a mention on their message board so far.
They do have a silly discussion on what happens if Forbes leaves. Poor fans. Can’t even enjoy their great season because they are already looking to 2020/2021. I’m glad our fans are enjoying the moment. Beat the Bucs!

Hmmm ... rethinking this. At this point in Kris Acox's senior year, 2016-17, the Paladins were 13-2 with three left to play. We then got blown out at home by UNCG, 73-52 before losing again in OT at ETSU. We finished in a 3-way tie for 1st with those two after we beat-down Wofford at Timmons 78-62.

I've likely blanked it out of my mind, but I would think the hype before that UNCG home-game would've been exciting.

I glance over there now and then. They have mentioned Wednesday's game a number of times, but on threads about other games.

I like those RPI rankings. In the Net Rankings and kenpom we are ranked below 12-14 Washington who is also 2-11 in the Pac12 and 1-7 on the road and also behind Iowa St who is 11-14 and 0-8 on the road. :?

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
