While I know we have lost the last 3 to Wofford, it wasn’t that long ago (17-18) that we absolutely worked them in Timmons. Furman played one of their absolute worst games in Spartanburg this season. They will be ready and bounce back in a big way on 2/22.

apaladin is Mr. Negative. I assume this is the same guy that posts on Urban Planet. Poor guy looks at everything with a glass half empty attitude. I too, think he just likes to hear himself talk and loves to get a reaction. We need to ignore him.

Some of us would call them pessimists, while they see themselves as realists. I don't advise ignoring anyone on the UFFP. Much better to simply present results and facts, which usually ends the negativism (or, to their credit, occasionally reveals that we optimists are wearing purple-tinted glasses).

I’m disappointed this has taken a turn toward the personal. I know apaladin personally and we have disagreed regularly both on and off line. I would NEVER tell anyone to ignore him, despite my totally different perspective from him. I just think we need to stand down a bit here.

Aren’t you the one being negative taking what I said and taking it to the negative extreme? From what I said you could just as easily said 4-3. Even the most optimistic are saying 5-2. If we play like we did against VMI we could go 0-7 or if we play like we did against Mercer we could go 7-0.

If you define “tossup” as a game that’s 50/50, you are implying a 12.5% chance we would be 1-6. I’d bet the farm. And the farm house that we’d finish better than that. In fact I’d bet my $800 to your $100 we win 2 or more games down the stretch, you in?

FWIW the analytics (KenPom) says we go 5-2 and finish 14-4.
