Tough to have Clark in for defense when he is not an offensive threat and the opposing defense is essentially 5 on 4.

A shame Hunter is not hitting his wide open 3’s (1 for 5). As a point guard he needs to improve his shooting.

Lyons had one shot attempt the first 18 minutes of the half. He needs to shoot more and earlier to see what kind of night he is having.

Gurley just had one of those days.

Citadel came into the game 16th in D1 averaging 81.1 ppg. We held them to their lowest output of the year at 54, which was previously 57 pts vs Illinois.

A hopeful Paladin day, continues. Sammy was down by eleven at the half to UNCG, but has come back to tie it at 37 apiece with 13:30 to go.

Actually I wrote my post in the last minute of the first half. But when I realized I had not posted it I edited it slightly and went ahead and posted it. So my true observations were not as negative as they read.

Mounce lead team in scoring, rebounding, steals and assists. And he had only one turnover.

I’m sure his mom, who was at the game, was proud. Slawson has a good game in his hometown against his dads alma mater. Brady Schuck was in the House. Met Ben Becker’s dad; he played b-ball at Mars Hill

Citadel can be a dangerous team. But we took care of bidness in 2d half

Great group of Furman fans in the “Mac” today. I think the team fed off the enthusiasm of the fans.

Great response in the second half to a desultory first half. The Citadel is playing a lot of freshmen this year and we didn't give them an reason to get excited in the second half. Their best player has been hurt most of the year, too.

We put the hammer down. Didn't reach our goal for the game. Would love to have beaten them by 30.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
