My god, Jordan Lyons with the all time worst ball hog possession for us there towards the end, that was disgusting, pass the dang ball son
We gave up a few too many easy baskets to their bigs. With maybe 7 minutes left in half UTC was shooting just over 75 % and still ended up shooting a very high %. Furman went cold at the end of the first half.
Fortunately we were 7-14 at one point on 3’s but I suspect about 7-17 or so for half. We did not play that bad but UTC shot a much high % than usual.
If we play good D and shoot pretty well I think we can win. Sure hope so. Would be a disgusting game to lose and very winnable.

Yeah Lyons will do that from time to time. 2 terrible possessions to close the half.

UTC shot 73% from the field and 63% from 3. Dang. Some of that is them being hot and a lot is our POROUS defense!
GOOD NEWS! One of the announcers said “Furman is still very much in the game” DESPITE the large halftime deficit of TWO POINTS. Pretty funny. Of course it was also related to UTC shooting 73 %.
Kenic for UTC was 3-3 on threes. Time to play defense on him.

Missing a golden opportunity here. Had a chance to build a nice lead but keep shooting ourselves in the foot. Should have a double digit lead.

We've had a couple of chances to move this to a double digit lead, only to take a bad shot or have a turnover. Our defense is keeping the lead for us. We just need to keep up the intensity on defense and take good shots. We sure do need Gurley down the stretch.
