USC Upstate has won 3 in a row (including last game vs VMI) after losing to us.
This is going to be a tough game. VMI is better than their record. For example they were within one point at UNCG with under 3 minutes to go but UNCG scored the last 10 points of the game. That game proved they can play with anyone in the league. They have some bulk underneath and have some scorers(3 point shooters). The Paladins will be coming off a long layoff so they probably won’t be sharp. This is definitely a game the Paladins could lose. ESPN only gives the ‘dins a 73.8 percent chance of winning.
they're one of the top 3 pt shooting teams in D1 (at 37.1% overall they are 38th of 353) and do a great job moving without the ball and passing. Play an offensive system similar to ours.
On D they play a matchup zone that can get teams bogged down on offense, and will play a 1-2-2 press from time to time to make offenses use alot of the shot clock bringing the ball up....and then only have 18-20 seconds to run the offense vs the matchup zone....can cause problems.

Dangerous game. They beat Stetson by 27 three weeks ago and Stetson won at SC today by 7.

If we do not bring our B plus game today I predict we will lose. We have overall been pretty inconsistent at times this year. The one thing we have done is we have beaten the teams we were supposed to beat. This is an important game. We need at least a couple of guys to be “hot”-Lyons and Hunter would be nice.
Anybody attend recent practices? Anything noteworthy they've been working on?
Agree. Need to play well.
