But we beat Villanova last year so that’s awesome. SoCon is a good basketball league is the summary I guess !

The drop-down offers the latest AP & USA Today Coaches polls, but the NCAA NET ranking hasn't been updated since April 8th. Last year they began updating it as soon as it was introduced on Dec 1. Has the NCAA decided to dump the NET?

FWIW that game was not played at the Dean Dome but Charmichael where just over 6k attended. It was not a sellout.

That said, SoCon looking strong .. I do like that UNC played in Carmichael before they "sold out" like UK for the big corporate arena - I think Duke still plays in a small arena no? SELL OUTS.. Read that was first game in Carmichael since the 80s.. wow

They say Cameron Indoor holds 9k but I have my doubts. When I was there it looked more like 6,500 but people are packed in like sardines and there are not many aisles. Speaking of the SoCon a game to keep an eye on is ETSU at LSU Wednesday night.

Last year their were a lot of howls about the early NET rankings. Teams with good records against weak schedules had over inflated numbers and the rankings were skewed. As the season progressed the numbers started making more sense.

FWIW at about 2pm today I heard the guys on ESPN Upstate(not the Clempson station) talikng about the lack of interest in the CU/SC game ysterday. In their discussion, they asked who is the best team in the state, they then proceeded to say Furman was and quoted the KenPom rankings. Woffird #125, SC #104, CU #100 anf Furman #77. The main guy said Furman has a good program going on and is fun to watch. He said he couldn't wait to go to a Furman game and said he was promising to support FU. He recently moved from Gator and Seminole country so I thiught thst was cool. BTW the SC/CU game drew 6,400 yesterday in 9,000 seat Littlejohn.
