Furman vs. Elon & UT Arlington (Nov. 26 & 27)

UTA will be well rested. This will be a test for us. They’ve played the 4th toughest schedule in the land.

They have shot a lot of 3s so far this year, #2 in all of D1 for 3s as a % of total shots (52.3%) but they only hit 29.4% of them. However they take care of the ball with a very low turnover %...#7 in all of D1. They also are an average rebounding team.

On D they don’t seem to do anything great outside of forcing a low 2pt fg%. They don’t turn people over a lot

Yes that was a great win. It sounded like an intense game. UTA was ahead for the last 26 minutes of the game except for the last 3 seconds. Gonzaga beat them by 6 so a great win.

With 4 minutes in half we had 5 FG-four 3’s by Lyons and a little layup by Bothwell.

At half we had 7 FG with 4 of those being 3’s by Lyons.

The announcer said at half that our offense looked very “helter-skelter” which is the same jerkiness and jitteriness I have noticed before-not very smooth.

Our big men were essentially non-existent in the first half. Gurley played much better in the second half. He and Slawson were on bench the last 10 minutes or so of the game.
