I think they want to RS Marcus Foster, but if they need him they'll play him. What we saw last night was a "let's see if we can do this without him" approach. And more generally, redshirting is a critically important tactic for mid-major programs, when possible.
And on JP, yes, he's got a green light. He's the best pure shooter on the team. I think they'd love to see him be that guy off the bench that can come in and hit 2-3 3's per game. IMO he's the 8th man (after Clark and Bothwell) and Foster if we need him is the 9th guy.
