I might have pulled an early ticket for Campbell - but after last week's losses, there is so much trash out there trying to fill a poll of 25 teams.

BASH THE BEJESUS OUT OF THE BELLHOPS!The Jackal wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2019 3:49 pmWell, we wanted to be a top 10 team and in the national conversation. Here we are.
Now, what are we going to do with it?
No use finger pointing there - we own that one.purplehorse wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 10:28 amAmazing how many Missouri Valley, Big Sky and CAA teams are in the top 25 of all the FCS polls. Meanwhile Furman is the Southern Conference representative.
right. no blame anywhere but for our conference. VMI doing well in conference but loses to Bob...The Jackal wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 10:55 amNo use finger pointing there - we own that one.purplehorse wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 10:28 amAmazing how many Missouri Valley, Big Sky and CAA teams are in the top 25 of all the FCS polls. The SoCon scheduled winnable OOC games and fell flat on their faces to begin the season. Wofford has no business losing to SCSU. Samford got trucked by a MVFC in Montgomery, and then lost to an OVC team they should have beaten. The Citadel had a couple of shots at CAA teams, and botched both of them.
I think the talent right now in the FCS is about an inch deep and a mile wide, but the SoCon didn't do itself any favors by looking awful out of the gate when there is so much movement in the polls early on.
For Wofford, their only real shot at a marquee win this season is to beat either Furman or Clemson. I'll let you guess which one they'll be gunning for.
Hell, I would argue we stumbled for most of the past 11+ years.. LOLThe Jackal wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 6:02 amOf course, Furman let other SoCon schools carry their water for a long time while we stumbled out of the gate every year.
Same thing in FBS, Clempson is the lone representative from the ACC in the top 25. They are still a sure bet to make the 4 team playoff.purplehorse wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 10:28 amAmazing how many Missouri Valley, Big Sky and CAA teams are in the top 25 of all the FCS polls.
