So will my season tickets right at mid-court simply translate to roughly the same seats at the Well?
I certainly hope season ticket holders are taken care of. I have court side tickets at Timmons. I noticed court side tickets for these games cost $300.00. https://furmanpaladins.com/feature/WeekendsAtTheWell

Listed capacity for basketball at The Well is 17,000. It will be like playing in a Mausoleum.

I'm sure they'll pull out the "Curtains"....will still only be half full even if we do a great job of marketing and promotions but for a few games a year, if we can get 4000-5000 to show up at the Well vs 2500 in Timmons, I'm all for it.

Plus gives us more experience playing in a large arena which we will need to be accustomed to in order to pull that big first round upset in the NCAA's

Yes, you can bet the upper bowl will be curtained off like they do for the high school playoffs. Those packages seem a little steep don't they? Someone mentioned expensive parking but it's mostly $5 and $6 but still more expensive than free. If we are playing there it would have been nice to have some "name" teams but CBR said they have tried that and no one would bite. It is a positive overall. Maybe in a couple of years when the NCAA first round regionals return to the BSWA some teams may want to play there.

I’m not sure anyone would pay $300.00 ($75.00 each) to watch these games. Thankfully I’m a season ticket holder. I just hope we, who support the program, will be treated to good seats, and that includes court side.

I think the concept is good, but it will take patience to bring it to fruition. Davidson took a similar Tack in the 60's when Lefty was building Top 10 teams.

None of the teams in this initial effort are what you would term box office draws, but I think you have a decent chance of getting better crowds in town than on campus. Let's face it, Furman overestimated the attraction of an on- campus facility, particularly one as poorly conceived as Timmons. I mean the whole idea was to take a step up, not a step down with one foot on a banana peel.

I do think initial success would be enhanced buy some reduction in ticket prices. The prices quoted, as presented, look a little daunting and you might need to take a bit of a hit to lure fannies into the seats. I mean, that is the whole idea

Always trust the Furman website over a newspaper. Here is the official press release detailing 3 men’s and 1 women’s game.
