I attended the tailgate party before the football game yesterday that was hosted by the FU Women's Basketball team and got to meet all the members of the 2109-2020 team. This is a team that lost in the finals of last year's SoCon tournament by 3 points and had a last second basket rim out for the tie. Jackie Carson is returning virtually the entire team from last year and this looks like special season coming up for the women's team. The returning players appear to be in the best condition of their careers and are joined by 3 quality newcomers who Jackie expects to contribute immediately. The Lady Paladins played in Europe during the summer and fared very well against some top international competition, so this looks like a special season coming up for BB fans. IF you enjoy seeing Furman winning, come on down to Timmons for the games. Season tickets are a bargain, the games are exciting and these ladies are really good athletes. You'll also get to meet most of our great football team without their helmets and pads who are always in attendance. You cant miss them.
