So assuming Ambe is the WR we got Monday, that's eight commits by July. That's a lot. It's a big deal to get so many guys you offered early. Staff is getting it done.

Ambe noted on twitter that he was Furman's first offer at WR. So, it looks like we are landing our primary targets, which is a good thing.

From the looks of it, these guys are highly sought after. Most have multiple FBS offers, many have offers from the academies and the Ivies.

So that's two or three commits with offers from Akron. I'm an Akron fan since birth and I can't remember that overlap. Looks like Tom Arth is trying to go after higher character/academic guys and we're doing a better job competing with the Group of Five conferences.

This is remarkable work by our staff. We might be competing with NDSU sooner than we had hoped.

How big do we expect the 2020 class to be? I count around 10 seniors...but imagine some of the redshirt jrs may be their last year.

I would rather the redshirt Juniors return than have an open scholarship ... those are almost ALL our OL - we could be a killa' if evryone returns on the OL next year. That's a huuuuuge key for 2020 - Layton, Kroeber and Harris are all R-Jr this year. Only Godwin is a senior !!!

Please let's have at least 2 of the 3 return !

Then I assume they will want to return as R-Seniors. We shall see. I hope so - much prefer those 3 OL (current R-Juniors) return than have an open scholarship. If all returned we would have 4 of our 5 starters on OL return next year.

Coach Rod tweeted — the 2020 Class is almost full, have we ever seen Furman's recruiting class full before the season starts? Just a guess Furman has an offer or two out there for some highly recruited defensive tackles. I've noticed some chatter better a few players committed and a player from Florida.

So my guess on slots still open; defensive tackle, tight end, quarterback.

When you have players, choosing Furman repeatedly over academies, group of five schools, and now a Big 10 and Big 12 schools. I'd say it's safe to say the program is relevant and on the rise.
