Only a few of these teams, but you can scratch another one off the list. Southern Cal just scheduled their first ever FCS game for 2021 against UC Davis.

9/2/16 we played Michigan State, losing 13-28. At the time, the Big Ten has made a policy of no future FCS games. Apparently, that went by the wayside, as every Big Ten school except Michigan and Ohio State now have multiple future FCS games.

Yep, that lasted about a year if that.

UC Davis plays Cal Bears 3 times now through 2024.
... While on the topic of PAC 12 vs FCS and FCS schools similar to Furman, I bring up this and ask or suggest why not Furman: in 2027, Colgate - COLGATE - is scheduled to play at Colorado Buffaloes.

From my brief research, only Notre Dame and UCLA have not played an FCS opponent. Notre Dame was the first to come to mind for me.

It appears that Texas has no FCS scheduled for any future years, nor do I see that they played any FCS in the last 10 years.

One FCS school, Idaho State, is getting $550,000 + $475,000 = $1.25 million to go play Utah & BYU. Idaho State is paying out $60,000 to get Western Colorado to come play, reducing the net to $975,000. Western Colorado is an NCAA Division II school.

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
