If true.....well, we knew he wasn't going to be here for the long term. A little surprised it's only a modest move up, but again not totally unexpected. Trust Dr Davis to find a solid replacement.

In-house hire unlikely IMO as Buddie hired two young people with no Furman connections as assistants. I think the choice will be a Power 5 assistant or a D-II/III AD. Anybody have a feeling on which would be better?

We all knew he would leave at the first decent opportunity so no big surprise. Wish he could have stuck around a little longer.

Understandable decision IMO. Buddie leaves at a time when Furman athletics are in an overall good place, gets a better payday, and avoids some of the tough decisions on the horizon.

In house I like Erin Wissing and Dan Brinkman based on their bios. Outside Janet Cone was my close second to Buddie last time. Looking forward to seeing a list.
You know Furman, we will never see a list. It will be kept secret. Only list we will see will be speculative.
